Edouard Bonnefous was a French politician who served as a member of the National Assembly from 1946 to 1958. He was also a member of the Senate from 1959 to 1974.
Bonnefous was born in Paris on August 24, 1907. He studied law and political science at the University of Paris. After graduating, he worked as a journalist and a lawyer.
Bonnefous entered politics in 1946, when he was elected to the National Assembly. He served on the Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee and was a member of the French delegation to the United Nations. In 1959, Bonnefous was elected to the Senate. He served on the Senate's Foreign Affairs Committee and was a member of the French delegation to the Council of Europe.
Bonnefous died in Paris on January 12, 1990.
