Delaunay PhilippeJean is a French politician. He has represented the 10th constituency of the Moselle department in the National Assembly since 2002. He is a member of the Union for a Popular Movement (UMP).
Delaunay PhilippeJean was born in Cocheren, Moselle, on 30 November 1956. He is the son of a steelworker and a nurse. He studied at the University of Metz, where he earned a degree in law. After graduating, he worked as a lawyer in Forbach.
Delaunay PhilippeJean entered politics in 1983, when he was elected to the municipal council of Forbach. He was elected mayor of the city in 1995. He served as mayor until 2002, when he was elected to the National Assembly.
In the National Assembly, Delaunay PhilippeJean has served on the Finance Committee and the Foreign Affairs Committee. He is also a member of the French delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
Delaunay PhilippeJean is a supporter of former President Nicolas Sarkozy. He was one of the founders of the UMP in 2002. He is also a member of the party's National Council.
Delaunay PhilippeJean is married and has two children.
