Moreau Robert was born on May 20, 1915, in Tulle, France. He was a French professional road bicycle racer who won the Tour de France in 1937.
Moreau began his cycling career in 1932. He won his first major race, the Grand Prix des Nations, in 1934. He went on to win the Tour de France in 1937, becoming the first Frenchman to win the race since 1923.
Moreau also won the Paris-Roubaix in 1936 and 1937, and the Giro di Lombardia in 1939. He retired from cycling in 1945.
Moreau married Germaine Viallard in 1940. They had two children, a son and a daughter.
Moreau died on December 15, 1998, in Tulle, France.
