Indonesian air disaster, which occurred when a Boeing 737–524 on a domestic route crashed four minutes after take-off. The aircraft was scheduled to take off at 13:25 but finally took off at 14:36 (due to the rain). Officials confirmed that the aircraft crashed in the waters off the Thousand Islands, some 19 km (12 miles) from the airport at 07:40 UTC (2:40 PM local time). Human remains were found in the Java Sea. All fifty passengers on board and twelve crew members died.
