Rognoni Giorgio is an Italian politician who served as Minister of the Interior, Minister of Justice, and Minister of Foreign Affairs. He was a member of the Christian Democracy party and served in the Italian Parliament from 1983 to 1994.
Rognoni was born in Modena, Italy, on October 26, 1946. He graduated from the University of Bologna with a degree in law. After graduating, Rognoni worked as a lawyer before entering politics.
Rognoni was elected to the Italian Parliament in 1983. He was appointed Minister of the Interior in 1983 and served in that position until 1989. In 1989, Rognoni was appointed Minister of Justice and served in that position until 1991. In 1991, Rognoni was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs and served in that position until 1992.
After leaving the government, Rognoni continued to be active in politics. He was a member of the European Parliament from 1994 to 1999. Rognoni also served as President of the Italian Red Cross from 2006 to 2013.
