Veen Hermanvan

Veen Hermanvan is a Dutch politician and former member of the House of Representatives.

He was a member of the Labour Party (PvdA).

Hermanvan was born in Utrecht in 1945. He studied law at the University of Utrecht and worked as a lawyer before entering politics.

He was elected to the House of Representatives in 1989 and served until 2003.

During his time in the House of Representatives, Hermanvan served on the committees for Justice and Home Affairs, and for Foreign Affairs.

He was also the leader of the PvdA faction in the House of Representatives from 1994 to 1998.

After leaving the House of Representatives, Hermanvan worked as a consultant and lobbyist.

He is currently a member of the board of directors of the Dutch Council for Refugees.
