Monthly Astrological Insights for September 2024

Eclipse Season is Back

September brings us back to Eclipse season, with a lunar eclipse on September 18th 2024 followed by a solar eclipse on October 2nd 2024. Eclipses always come in pairs, lunar and solar, within two weeks of each other. I have made separate videos on the eclipses which I will post next week for a detailed analysis. Here, we will briefly touch upon the upcoming eclipses.

This set of eclipses is designed to help us progress and move forward in life. Wherever you have felt stuck, you may see some breakthrough, especially with the one in October. There is no need to fear.

Planetary Movements and Their Impact

Mars is moving through Gemini, having started in the last week of August 2024. Venus is in debility with Jupiter, and Mercury returns to Leo in September. Let’s break down these movements and what they mean for us:

New Moon in Leo: The first event of the month is the new moon in Leo on September 2nd 2024, which is aspected by Saturn from Aquarius. The controlling planet of this lunar mansion is Venus, which is debilitated with Jupiter. You may feel some tension regarding money matters during this time. Jupiter is also sitting in Venus’s sign in Taurus, which can cause a feeling of lack in this area. Vitality may be low, especially if you are a Taurus or Libra Rising. It’s a good time to rest, as things will pick up speed mid-month.

Venus in Virgo: Venus in debility in Virgo is getting the aspect of Mars and Jupiter. Relationships can feel difficult, and you may feel a lack of support from others. You could feel alone, but this will change soon.

Mercury in Leo: Mercury returns to Leo from September 4th till September 23rd 2024, being aspected by Saturn. This adds a sober tone to your planning and thinking. It’s a good time to reinvent your work life, especially if you work for yourself.

Mars in Gemini: Mars began its transit in Gemini on August 26th 2024 and will remain here till October 20th 2024. Mars in Gemini isn’t the most comfortable as it’s Mercury’s sign. Watch for gossip and pettiness, both in yourself and others. You could feel restless and have too much energy, so physical exercise might help release this pent-up energy.

Sun’s Transit into Virgo

On September 16th 2024, the Sun makes its annual transit into Virgo until October 17th 2024. The Sun will join Venus and Ketu in Virgo, setting the stage for the upcoming eclipses. This transit is excellent for getting your life organized and handling detailed, oriented work. Mars and Jupiter aspecting the Sun will provide energy and readiness for action.

Lunar Eclipse in Pisces

In the early morning hours of September 18th 2024, we have a lunar eclipse in Pisces. Venus is about to move into Libra but is very strong as it’s in the last degree of Virgo during the eclipse. This might bring up relationship issues, particularly those lingering from the past. If your relationship has been on the brink of breaking up, this eclipse might bring the final cut, a characteristic of Ketu’s influence.

Jupiter’s exact aspect on Venus can bring good news regarding money matters. There’s also an exact opposition of Mercury and retrograde Saturn, indicating a past issue coming to closure. The results will likely be pleasing after the eclipse. It’s important to remain calm, as Mars is also aspecting Virgo. Avoid being overly critical or controlling. The second half of the month is perfect for celebrating life and connecting with others, especially after the eclipse on September 18th. It’s not a month to stay indoors or work alone, particularly in the latter half.
