**Biography**
Franz Brouw was a Belgian operatic soprano known for her powerful voice and dramatic stage presence. She was born on January 31, 1929, in Veurne, Belgium. Brouw began her musical career as a chorister at the age of 14. She studied singing at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent and made her professional debut in 1950 as the title role in Verdi's "Aida."
