Ellerbe Dannell is an American football coach and former player who was born on November 29, 1985 in Hamlet, North Carolina. He is currently the wide receivers coach for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL).
Dannell played college football at the University of Kentucky from 2004 to 2008. He was a three-year starter for the Wildcats and finished his career with 161 receptions for 2,393 yards and 22 touchdowns. He was named an All-SEC selection twice and was also a member of the 2007 BCS National Championship team.
Dannell was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He played three seasons with the Saints, catching 45 passes for 554 yards and two touchdowns.
After his playing career ended, Dannell began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at the University of Kentucky in 2012. He spent two seasons with the Wildcats before joining the staff at the University of Missouri as a wide receivers coach in 2014.
In 2016, Dannell joined the staff of the Indianapolis Colts as an offensive assistant. He was promoted to wide receivers coach in 2018.
