Georges Grasset (23 April 1910 – 8 December 2006) was a French graphic artist, poster designer, advertising consultant and landscape painter.
#### BiographyGeorges Grasset was born in Montpellier, France, on 23 April 1910. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he developed a strong interest in graphic design. After graduating, he worked as a commercial artist for several years before establishing his own studio in 1935.
Grasset quickly became one of the leading poster designers of his time. His posters were known for their bold, simple designs and their use of bright colors. He created posters for a wide range of clients, including Air France, Michelin, and the Tour de France.
In addition to his work as a poster designer, Grasset was also a successful advertising consultant. He helped to develop advertising campaigns for a number of major companies, including Coca-Cola and Unilever.
Grasset also had a passion for landscape painting. He often painted scenes of the French countryside, and his paintings were exhibited in galleries around the world.
Grasset died in Paris on 8 December 2006, at the age of 96.
