Marland Philippe is a French politician who has served as a member of the National Assembly since 1997. He represents the 6th constituency of Seine-Maritime.
Philippe was born on January 17, 1947 in Saint-Florentin, France. He studied law and economics at the University of Rouen and then worked as a lawyer. He entered politics in 1983, when he was elected to the municipal council of Rouen.
In 1997, Philippe was elected to the National Assembly. He has since been re-elected in 2002, 2007, 2012, and 2017.
Philippe is a member of the Socialist Party. He has served on the National Assembly's Committee on Legal Affairs and the Committee on Economic Affairs.
Philippe is a strong supporter of social justice and economic equality. He has been a vocal critic of President Emmanuel Macron's policies, which he believes have benefited the wealthy at the expense of the poor.
