### Biography
Merlin Pierre was a French humorist, singer, and actor. Born in Metz, France, on May 6, 1937, he rose to fame in the 1960s and 1970s.
### Career
Pierre began his career as a stand-up comedian, performing in various cabarets and clubs in Paris. In 1963, he released his first comedy album, "Merlin à l'Olympia." He went on to release several more albums throughout his career, including "Merlin en liberté" (1965) and "Merlin fait le show" (1968).
Pierre also had a successful career as a singer. He released several singles, including the hit "La Fille du Père Noël" (1965) and "La Chanson de l'escargot" (1966). He also performed in several musicals, including "La Revue des Deux Mondes" (1965) and "Paris by Night" (1974).
In addition to his comedy and singing career, Pierre also appeared in several films and television shows. He made his film debut in "Les Barbouzes" (1964) and went on to appear in films such as "Le Grand restaurant" (1966) and "La Course au mariage" (1969). Pierre was married to the actress Dominique Zardi. He had two children, a son named Sébastien and a daughter named Marion. Pierre died on August 30, 2000, at the age of 63, from a heart attack.
