French physician and biologist. A founder of the French Society of Hydrobiology, he studied the history of the protozoa, and of the free-living and parasitic worms. He was the editor of the French review, Le Microscope. Milliez died on 1983.
Milliez was a prolific researcher and published over 500 papers in scientific journals. He was also a member of several scientific societies, including the French Academy of Sciences and the Royal Society of London.
In addition to his scientific work, Milliez was also a talented artist. He painted and sculpted, and his work was exhibited in several galleries in France.
Milliez died on 1983 at the age of 71. He is remembered as one of the most important French scientists of the 20th century.
