American car crash victim, ORourke had, just prior to his death, obtained his drivers license. He was driving his teen-age buddies illegally, apparently speeding when he skidded on wet pavement into a tree. ORourke and one of his friends, Christopher Welsh, died immediately and a third friend, Chadwick Correa, was seriously injured. ORourke Ryan was born on June 30, 1987, in Stoughton, Massachusetts. He is an American actor, writer, and producer. He is best known for his roles as Detective Kevin Ryan on the ABC series Castle and as the titular character in the Netflix series The OA.
Ryan began his acting career in 2004, appearing in small roles in films such as The Girl Next Door and Annapolis. He had his breakout role in 2009, when he was cast as Detective Kevin Ryan on the ABC series Castle. Ryan played the role for eight seasons, until the series ended in 2016. In 2016, Ryan starred in the Netflix series The OA. He played the role of Hap, a scientist who kidnaps and tortures Prairie Johnson, the show's protagonist. The OA was canceled after two seasons.
In addition to his acting work, Ryan has also written and produced several short films. He wrote and directed the short film The Birthday Present in 2012, and he produced the short film The Last Day of Summer in 2014.
Ryan is married to actress Michelle Monaghan. They have two children together.
