Paul Robert was a French lexicographer and linguist. He is best known for creating the Le Petit Robert, a one-volume French dictionary that has been published annually since 1967. Robert also founded the Dictionnaire historique de la langue française, a historical dictionary of the French language.
Robert died on December 29, 1980 in Paris, France.
