Carol Arthur (Peel)
Carol Arthur (born October 5, 1938) is an American actress, dancer and singer. She was born in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of actors Rex Lease and Norma Drury. She began her career as a child actress, appearing in such films as "The Secret Garden" (1949) and "The Star" (1952). She also appeared in numerous television shows, including "The Loretta Young Show", "The Lucy Show", and "The Patty Duke Show".
In the 1960s, Arthur began to focus on her singing career, and she released several albums, including "Carol Arthur Sings the Best of Broadway" (1964) and "Carol Arthur Sings the Best of Hollywood" (1965). She also appeared in several Broadway musicals, including "Bye Bye Birdie" (1960) and "Funny Girl" (1964).
In the 1970s, Arthur returned to acting, and she appeared in such films as "The Great Gatsby" (1974), "shampoo" (1975), and "The Player" (1992). She also continued to appear in television shows, including "Murder, She Wrote", "Matlock", and "Diagnosis: Murder".
In recent years, Arthur has continued to work in film and television, and she has also appeared in several stage productions. She is married to actor Tom Poston, and they have two children.
