Saawan Kumar Tak is an Indian film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for his work in the Bollywood film industry.
Tak began his career as a director in 1974 with the film Sanyasi. He has since directed over 50 films, including Saajan (1991), Dilwale (1994), and Humaara Dil Aapke Paas Hai (2000).
Tak has also produced a number of films, including Beta (1992), Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998).
Tak has won several awards for his work, including the Filmfare Award for Best Director for Saajan and the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment for Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.
Tak is married to Babita, a former actress. They have two children, a son named Luv and a daughter named Pooja.
