Samp Jerzy is a Polish actor who was born on May 23, 1951 in Gdansk, Poland. He is best known for his roles in the films "The Decalogue" (1988), "The Double Life of Veronique" (1991), and "Three Colors: White" (1994).
Jerzy has won numerous awards for his work, including the Silver Bear for Best Actor at the Berlin International Film Festival in 1988. He is a member of the Polish Academy of Film and Television.
In addition to his acting career, Jerzy is also a theater director and teacher. He has directed plays at the Warsaw National Theatre and the Teatr Studio in Warsaw.
Jerzy is married to actress Krystyna Janda. They have one son, Jan.
