Robert Schwartz (born January 18, 1920) is an American former professional basketball player and coach. He played in the National Basketball League (NBL) for the Detroit Gems and in the Basketball Association of America (BAA) for the Philadelphia Warriors. Schwartz was also the head coach of the Warriors for two seasons.

Schwartz attended Temple University, where he played basketball for the Owls. He was a two-time All-American and led the Owls to the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) championship in 1943. Schwartz was also a member of the 1940 U.S. Olympic basketball team that won a silver medal.

After graduating from Temple, Schwartz played for the Detroit Gems in the NBL. He averaged 10.5 points per game in his one season with the Gems.

In 1946, Schwartz joined the Philadelphia Warriors in the BAA. He averaged 7.4 points per game in his two seasons with the Warriors.

In 1948, Schwartz became the head coach of the Warriors. He led the Warriors to a 29-31 record in his first season as head coach. In his second season, the Warriors improved to 31-39. Schwartz resigned as head coach of the Warriors after the 1949-50 season.

After leaving the Warriors, Schwartz worked as a scout for the New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers. He also coached the Philadelphia Tapers of the Eastern Professional Basketball League (EPBL) from 1953 to 1955.

Schwartz was inducted into the Temple University Athletics Hall of Fame in 1988.
