Belgian soccer forward, he was nicknamed Le Lutin dArdooie ("The Imp of Ardooie") and The Little One. In a 19-year professional career he played mainly for Club Brugge and Anderlecht (six seasons apiece), making his senior debuts at 17 and scoring nearly 200 official goals both clubs combined to win a total of ten major titles.
