American accident fatality. A senior at Franklin High School in Franklin, MA, Kerri was killed on December 2, 2002 in a two-car accident on a snowy road. She had dreamed of being a kindergarten teacher and was on her way to Next Generation Children’s Center in Franklin, where she worked each day after school. Just four days earlier, she had been featured in a Boston Globe newspaper article about students working as interns; in the article she fervently talked about her hopes to attend the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and major in early education.
