American television news anchor and former baseball left fielder who played for the Atlanta Braves (1987–1993), Cincinnati Reds (1995), St. Louis Cardinals (1996–1998), Philadelphia Phillies (1999–2000), Anaheim Angels (2000), Colorado Rockies (2001), Oakland Athletics (2001, 2003) and San Diego Padres (2002) in Major League Baseball (MLB). Gant is currently a co-host on WAGA-TVs morning news program Good Day Atlanta. He joined the 30–30 club (at least 30 stolen bases and at least 30 home runs in the same season) in 1990 and 1991 with the Braves. He is right-handed. Gant Ron is an American public figure. He is the founder and CEO of TerraCap Management, a real estate investment firm. He is also the co-founder of the Urban Land Institute's Center for Sustainability.
Ron is a graduate of the University of Southern California and the Harvard Business School. He began his career in real estate in 1989. In 1994, he founded TerraCap Management. Under Ron's leadership, TerraCap has grown to become one of the largest real estate investment firms in the United States.
Ron is a recognized expert in sustainable real estate. He is a frequent speaker at industry events and has written extensively on the topic. He is also a member of the board of directors of several organizations dedicated to promoting sustainability.
In addition to his work in real estate, Ron is also involved in several philanthropic endeavors. He is the founder of the Gant Foundation, which supports education, healthcare, and the arts. He is also a major donor to the University of Southern California and the Harvard Business School.
