Kamal Haasan is one of the most successful and celebrated actors in Indian cinema. He has starred in over 200 films in various languages, including Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Bengali. He has won numerous awards for his work, including four National Film Awards and 19 Filmfare Awards.
Haasan began his career as a child actor in the 1960 Tamil film Kalathur Kannamma. He went on to star in a number of successful films in the 1970s and 1980s, including Apoorva Raagangal (1975), Hey Ram (2000), and Dasavathaaram (2008). He has also directed and produced several films, including Vishwaroopam (2013) and Indian 2 (2022).
In addition to his film career, Haasan is also a political activist. He founded the Makkal Needhi Maiam party in 2018 and is currently serving as its president.
