Kuri Emile was a Mexican painter, sculptor, and writer. He was a member of the Mexican muralism movement and is best known for his work on the murals of the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City.
Emile studied art at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes in Mexico City. He began his career as a painter, but soon turned to sculpture. His sculptures are often characterized by their abstract forms and use of geometric shapes.
In the 1930s, Emile joined the Mexican muralism movement. He worked with Diego Rivera and other muralists on the murals of the Palacio de Bellas Artes. Emile's murals are often political in nature and depict scenes of Mexican history and culture.
Emile continued to work as a painter and sculptor until his death in 1995. He is considered one of the most important Mexican artists of the 20th century.
