Georges Monier was a public relations manager and journalist. He was best known for his work with the Cannes Film Festival.
Monier began his career in journalism in the 1950s. He worked for several newspapers and magazines, including Le Monde and France-Soir. In 1963, he joined the Cannes Film Festival as its press attaché.
As press attaché, Monier was responsible for promoting the festival to the media. He also helped to organize the festival's events and screenings.
Monier retired from the Cannes Film Festival in 1993. He continued to work as a public relations consultant until his death in 2021.
