Biography

Norwegian theologian and church leader. He became Master of Theology at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucy, in 1930, and received his PhD in 1932. 1950-1960 he was rector at The International Baptist Theological Seminary, and from 1960 he was General Secretary of the Baptist World Alliance.
