Ros Miquel is a renowned Spanish actress, director, and screenwriter. Born in Granada, Spain, in 1944, she has a prolific career spanning over five decades. She studied acting at the Barcelona Institute of Theater and made her stage debut in 1964.
Miquel gained prominence in the 1970s with her performances in the experimental films of Pere Portabella. Her notable roles include "Vampir" (1970), "Cuadecuc, vampir" (1971), and "Umbracle" (1972). She has also appeared in numerous mainstream films, such as "The House of Bernarda Alba" (1982), "The Girl with Green Eyes" (1985), and "The Sea Inside" (2004).
Miquel's directorial debut was "La buena estrella" (1997), which won several awards, including the Golden Shell at the San Sebastián Film Festival. She has since directed three more films, including "Los pasos dobles" (2011), "El cosmonauta" (2013), and "Un día vi 10.000 elefantes" (2015).
