Norwegian ski jumper and writer. He was the first Norwegian to jump over 100 meters on ski. He was the son of Supreme Court Judge Ferdinand Schelderup. In the 40s he was married to actress Sossen Krohg, with whom he had two children. In 1948 he married singer Anne Brown, who created the role of "Bess" in the original production of George Gershwins opera Porgy and Bess in 1935. They had one daughter. In 1948 he won a bronze medal at the Olympic Games in St. Moritz, Switzerland. Schjelderup died on 28 May 2006. He was 86. Link to Wikipedia biography Read less
