Claude Seignoles was a French poet, novelist, and playwright. He was born in Périgueux, France, on June 25, 1917.
Seignoles began writing poetry at a young age. His first collection of poems, Le Mauvais Âme, was published in 1937. He went on to publish over 50 other collections of poetry, as well as several novels and plays.
Seignoles's work is often characterized by its dark humor and its exploration of the human condition. He was a master of the short story, and his stories are often full of unexpected twists and turns.
Seignoles died in Périgueux, France, on January 13, 2014, at the age of 96.
