Rolf Ramm (born January 15, 1923) is a Norwegian painter and graphic artist.
**Biography**
Rolf Ramm was born on January 15, 1923 in Oslo, Norway. He studied at the Norwegian National Academy of Fine Arts from 1941 to 1944. After graduating, he worked as a commercial artist and illustrator. In the 1950s, he began to focus on painting and graphic art.
Ramm's early work was influenced by the Norwegian expressionists Edvard Munch and Asger Jorn. However, he soon developed his own unique style, which is characterized by its use of bright colors and bold geometric forms.
Ramm's work has been exhibited in Norway and internationally. He has had solo exhibitions in Oslo, Copenhagen, Stockholm, London, and New York. His work is represented in the collections of the National Gallery of Norway, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Tate Gallery in London.
Ramm is a member of the Norwegian Academy of Arts and Letters. He has received numerous awards, including the Norwegian Cultural Council's Arts Council Prize in 1983 and the Oslo City Art Award in 2003.
