British astrologer and founder of the Scottish Astrological Society in 1974. At age 16 she had several operations on her nose. While in recovery, a friend gave her a book on astrology. Immediately captivated, she began doing charts. Her memory was exceptional. In 1927 she spent time in a sanatorium as a result of having tuberculosis at six months, and while there she had time to study. Absorbed in quantum theory, she read extensively. Married twice, she was widowed in 1949 and had two daughters and six grandchildren. Her home was the meeting place of the Scottish Astrological Association from 1974 on. She enjoyed good debate and discussion, but was always against prediction. She spent her later years in a retirement home, physically frail and with failing sight, but mentally alert. Winifred died on 9/13/90, Edinburgh, Scotland. Read less

For individuals like HannayThompson Winifred, genealogical research is often the most effective method for uncovering information about their lives. Resources such as:
...can provide valuable insights into family history, place of residence, and potentially even glimpses into their personal lives. Ancestry websites and family tree databases are also valuable tools in this type of research.
It is important to consider that privacy concerns were different in the early 1900s. Publicly accessible records might not contain the same level of detail as we are accustomed to today. Furthermore, depending on the individual's life choices and circumstances, available information might be scarce.
The name "HannayThompson" suggests a double-barreled surname, which could potentially complicate searches. Variations in spelling or the use of only one of the surnames in certain records should also be considered.
