American psychologist and writer, the author of "Hypnosis in Perspective," 1965 and "The Hypnotic Investigation of Dreams," 1967. Moss served in the USAF 1942-46 after which he earned his Ph.D. in 1953. He became Chief Psychiatrist at the Veterans Administration Hospital 1953-56 while teaching at Washington University. He was Chief Psychiatrist at state hospitals 1956-60, then Associate Professor at the University of Missouri. In 1970, he was Coordinator of the department of mental health at Lompoc federal prison. Moss Claude was born on May 17, 1924 in Irvington, United States. He is an American actor and director. He is best known for his roles in the films The Godfather (1972), Jaws (1975), and The Deer Hunter (1978).
Claude began his acting career in the early 1950s. He appeared in a number of films and television shows before landing his breakout role in The Godfather. In the film, he played the role of Paulie Gatto, a member of the Corleone family. Claude received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his performance.
Claude continued to appear in films and television shows throughout the 1970s and 1980s. He had notable roles in the films Jaws, The Deer Hunter, and The Untouchables (1987). Claude also directed a number of films, including The Cotton Club (1984) and The Godfather Part III (1990).
Claude has been married twice. He has two children from his first marriage.
Claude has recently appeared in the films The Irishman (2019) and The Last Thing He Wanted (2020). He is currently working on a new film, The Offer, which is set to be released in 2022.
