Wunder Edgar Biography

German social scientist, geographer, researcher in anomalistics und politician (Die Linke). Wunder was a founding member of the German skeptics organization GWUP in 1987 and editor of their journal Der Skeptiker until 1998. Since 1992 he published an annual evaluation of the predictions of clairvoyants and astrologers, which found wide resonance in the media. In 1999 he left GWUP due to increasing differences with the fundamentalist positions of this organization. He criticized GWUP as lacking intellectual honesty and objectivity. With former members of GWUP and representatives of various para-sciences he founded the Forum Parawissenschaften (forum para-science), leter renamed Gesellschaft für Anomalistik (society for anomalistics). He became a prominent critic of the Skepticism movement. He has published numerous articles and books about the believes of astrologers and other para-sciences.
