He is internationally recognized for his work on ritual process and the masculine psyche and is an important figure in the contemporary men’s movement. Moore studied comparative psychoanalytic theory and practice and received diplomas in more than one tradition. He taught and worked at the C. G. Jung Institute in Chicago, Illinois. He is a Senior Professor of Psychoanalysis, Culture and Spirituality at the Chicago Theological Seminary and leads workshops around the world. He is the author of many books in the fields of psychology, psychoanalysis and spirituality. With Douglas Gillette, Moore wrote a five-volume series dedicated to masculine psychology, spirituality and initiation.
