American football player, a wide receiver who played with the San Francisco 49ers (1995–2002), Jacksonville Jaguars (2003), and New England Patriots (2003). He originally signed with the San Francisco 49ers on 7/27/1995. A superior player, Stokes only hindrance has been a record stymied by season-ending injuries. In 1995, he broke his right hand midway through preseason training camp, which caused him to miss a quarter of the season. The following year, in week seven of the season, Stokes suffered a debilitating wrist injury that kept him from play for the rest of the year. When not injured, he is an excellent pass receiver aided by his size, strength, and vision. Stokes played football at UCLA, where he graduated with a degree in sociology in 1994.
