Peruvian conservationist, perhaps best known internationally, completed his higher education at the London School of Economics, under the guidance of Professor Harold Laski, leader of English socialism. His life was devoted to a noble ideal: the defense of wildlife, the environment and conservation of natural heritage. He showed his vocation for education since 1960 when it proposed the creation of a zoo to the city of Lima. As president of the Parque de Las Leyendas (for almost 12 years), he made this recreational center humildes- -for more families a place to promote culture and research of flora and fauna.
